This course satisfies the training requirements for Connecticut State Pistol Permit Qualification, which must consist of no less than the NRA’s Basic Pistol Course and the Connecticut required Training on Safe Storage Of Firearms, Lawful Use Of Firearms, and Lawful Carrying Of Firearms prior to applying.
The NRA’s “Home Firearms Safety Course” and “First Steps Pistol Orientation Program” are not approved courses.
- Prerequisite: Participants must possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit for their respective state and be at least 21 years of age.
- Duration: The course will last approximately 1.5 0hours.
Required Items:
- Firearm
- A minimum of two magazines
- Eye and ear protection
- Attire consisting of jeans or BDU-style pants (sweatpants, shorts, and open-toed shoes are not permitted)
