NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting – Private Training

Private Shotgun training offers customized instruction and guidance to assist individuals in enhancing their Shotgun shooting skills and handling. This Private Shotgun training program provides numerous benefits and can be tailored to meet the unique requirements of each participant.

This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for the safe and proper use of a shotgun in shooting a moving target.

This course includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; shotgun shell components; shotgun shell malfunctions; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting at straight away and angled targets; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development.

­­Required Equipment/Gear: If you do not have a firearm, no problem, a selection will be supplied during the class at NO additional charge.

If you own a firearm, great. Please bring it along with eye and ear protection (eye and ear protection are available for purchase at the range).

This course includes classroom sessions, a course completion certificate, course materials, and a target.

All students need ammunition and a positive attitude, please be sure to wear comfortable clothing and DO NOT wear open-toed shoes.
