Our Illinois CCW Training Course is a comprehensive 16-hour program designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to responsibly carry a concealed firearm in Illinois.
The course covers essential topics including:
- Firearm Safety & Safe Handling
- Firearm Storage & Transportation
- Illinois Use-of-Force Laws
- Concealed Carry Laws & Responsibilities
- Conflict Avoidance & De-Escalation
- Situational Awareness
- Responsible Firearm Ownership
- Live-Fire Shooting Qualification
Students will learn how to safely handle, store, transport, and carry a firearm while developing an understanding of Illinois laws governing concealed carry and the use of force. The course emphasizes conflict avoidance, de-escalation, situational awareness, and responsible decision-making.
Non-Resident Applicants
Non-residents may apply for an Illinois Concealed Carry License if they meet Illinois State Police eligibility requirements. Illinois does not make CCLs available to all non-residents; eligibility is generally limited to residents of states that Illinois recognizes for non-resident CCL purposes and applicants who satisfy all applicable statutory requirements.
Students should verify their individual eligibility with the Illinois State Police before registering for the course.
Upon successful completion of the required training and live-fire qualification, students will receive the appropriate training documentation needed to apply for an Illinois Concealed Carry License (CCL).
